Social–emotional learning, or SEL, is a methodology that helps students build social and emotional skills within a course curriculum. For a 2024 Ethnic Studies high school level course, I was tasked with directing a series of SEL videos that examine historical reasons for bias, perspective, and oppression. The resulting series provides explanations, tools, and methods for students to successfully recognize and navigate these challenging topics.
