Jesse G Shepherd is a songwriter, musician, performer, and touch therapist
(Reiki master and Do'Hai healing facilitator), who has also worked as a handyman, shipwright, disc jockey, music festival organizer, and distribution specialist for print media. He has five children, three of his own and two acquired, and five grandchildren, plus an extended family whom he loves very much.

Jesse is, with all his experience, a well rounded renaissance man. His songs and music reflect these influences. He is able to relate to a wide range of life experiences, and much is reflected in his music. His goal is to live LOVE, share love, and teach love,
not only for personal satisfaction but to knit community for a safer, more
enlightened world.

Jesse G's songs are about personal challenges in love and life, socio-political concerns and our environment. A child of the 60's, his intention is to foster a more peaceful world thereby realizing a more satisfying life for all. His music and experience as a healing facilitator combined, give him the skills to do just that.

His concerts and shows have earned him an enviable reputation as a spellbinding entertainer and storyteller, invariably leaving audiences in an upbeat mood. "I love connecting with people, When I'm performing, I'm a happy child," he smiles.

Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, Jesse began public performance in local bands such as, Them Phynx, The Checkmates, and Jehova, before moving to San Francisco, then Vancouver, British Columbia, to begin a solo career.

His albums "Open Our Eyes", '80 (no longer available) "Reclaim My Brain", '84, and "Perspectives", '94, though several years apart, are only a part of his vast songwriting catalog.

Jesse performs with singer and life partner, Carol Ross, and, when opportunity arises, other musicians whose styles compliment his tunes.

"Jesse Gordon Shepherd is truly unique. He is not just a songwriter but a poet, an articulator whose words delve into the fabric of our spirits, of who we are inside. There is a thoughtfulness to his work, as well as a provocative, poignant satire, which chronicles the inner workings of self and relationships. Many of his songs also carry a humorous twist, as he pokes fun at our foibles and frustrations."
